The Swan 82 has become the most successful maxi cruiser/racer in recent times and the versatility of the hull shape has played a major part in this success. Originally conceived with a flush deck configuration, there was a demand for increased interior volume and better protection on deck and in the cockpit. Nautor and Frers went back to the drawing board and developed the Swan 82 raised saloon (RS) version utilizing the same hull but with a new deck and interior configuration. By raising the saloon, the engine room could be moved below the saloon floor allowing better usage of the interior volume for accommodation and four ensuite double guest cabins. In addition, the fore and aft trim has been improved by repositioning all the machinery amidships and directly above the keel.
After the first seven RS yachts were delivered, a third deck mould was developed offering a more contemporary and low-profile coachroof, the semi-raised saloon version or ‘S-version’. Nazca was the first S-version to be delivered and was followed soon after by seven sisterships.
Nazca has been professionally maintained to a high level since delivery in 2004. In autumn 2011, she was struck by lightening and shipped back to the Nautor factory in Jakobstad for a major refit and repair which included a complete rewiring of all electrical systems, hull painting, new mast, rigging, sails and much more.
Redelivered to her owners in spring 2012, Nazca was reborn and with all systems either replaced or returned to original condition. Now offered for sale in VAT Paid status, she is presented in excellent condition and ready for immediate delivery
