A modern classic, the Catalina 36 is one of the most successful cruising sailboats every produced. This lovely yacht, “Marisol,” stands above the rest, thanks to its owner’s ongoing TLC and many added features.

“Marisol” is well-equipped and in very good condition. The owner is motivated to sell. BOAT in the water and being actively sailed by her owner of 26 years. A more powerful 29hp engine was installed in 2004. Plenty of room to invite guests, with her two queen-equipped cabins, plus main salon double and single. Radar. Custom swim-step.

Many upgrades and added features: The owner has replaced the original, bulky main salon table with a beautifully finished custom drop-leaf table, offering much more comfortable access to the U-settee. A convenient custom swim platform has been added to the transom. The cockpit has plenty of shade from the dodger, the Captain’s bimini and a connecting awning. Garhauer blocks throughout. The Catalina 36 features 3 separate cabins. The unique aft cabin is furnished with a settee to starboard, a hanging locker, and a double bunk on the centerline. It has an opening screened port aft for light and ventilation.

Another double cabin is forward with oversized v-berths with full sitting headroom and reading lamps over each bunk. There is plenty of room for dressing, large hanging locker, and lots of drawers and bins for extended living aboard.

The main cabin settee with table removed makes up yet another double bunk.

The white formica-finished head has a bright, airy feeling, has a seat for the shower area, and a teak grate sole with integral show sump below. A translucent opening hatch above provides light and ventilation.

There are four opening hatches on deck, plus the main hatch, for lots of light and air below. The two original dorade-type ventilators have been upgraded by modern, low-profile stainless steel vents . Each cabin also has an electric fan.

A gimballed stove with safety rail, a double s/s sink, ample counterspace, storage and lighting make the galley a pleasant place to prepare meals. The large, deep icebox has custom partitions added for more convenience.

The original diesel engine was replaced and upgrade in 2004 with to Beta Marine with 29 HP.
